Poco Farm is excited to offer a 6 week, afterschool, hands-on food growing club. This is for middle and high school age folks, ages 12-18, who are serious about learning about farming and ready to take charge of their own learning path, find inspiration and work hard.

Topics will include: basic animal care, community food webs, food justice, life-skills, water usage & conservation, farm economics, climate beneficial farm techniques, sustainable living practices, nutrient cycling (in soil and neighborhoods), community care, and more.

Youth will be asked to arrive promptly, attend at least 5 sessions, dress usefully, share their ideas, work hard, and ask lots of questions. We offer this at no cost. Limited to 15 people, must have at least 8 to run this program.

Program Dates: 4-6pm on Thursdays: 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17
